Biography
Alba Luz Salazar Galan is a health professional and entrepreneur with a 25-year track record in adventure tourism. As the current President of the Colombian Rafting Association, she has been a trailblazer in community development and female empowerment, notably founding Colombia's first competitive women's rafting team after overcoming her own fear of rapids in 2023. Alba successfully led the historic 2022 Pan American Rafting Championships event and has extensive expertise in governance, sustainability, and sport development. Speaking Spanish, she envisions a future focused on the global massification of women's rafting, elevating the sport to the Olympics, and utilizing major events as a showcase for tourism and river conservation.
