Biography
The Asian Continental Council is the regional body of United Rafting representing and supporting the development of rafting across Asia.
The Council provides a direct link between the Asian National Federations and United Rafting’s international governance structure, ensuring that the priorities, needs and proposals of the continent are represented within the organisation.
Its work focuses on strengthening cooperation among National Federations, supporting the development and coordination of Asian competitions, and increasing opportunities for athletes, coaches, officials and river professionals. Particular attention is also given to education and safety standards, youth participation, gender equality and the development of rafting in countries where the sport is still growing.
The Council supports the organisation of international events within Asia and promotes greater regional cooperation, including initiatives aimed at increasing the presence of rafting within major multi-sport events.
Council Composition
The current Asian Continental Council was elected by the Asian Continental Assembly held on 11 June 2026.
