The countdown just got real: in two weeks, the Rio Aluminé in Neuquén, Argentina, will host the world’s best rafters for the World Rafting Championships 2025. From 3rd to 9th November, the whitewater of Northern Patagonia will welcome over 280 athletes from 24 nations, all chasing one thing: the world title.
And it’s shaping up to be a battle of big names. Among the confirmed crews are many familiar rafters including the reigning world champions who conquered Valtellina, Italy, in 2023:
Japan’s Men’s team, who is already travelling to the spot, and Italy’s Women, Para-Rafting and Mix teams, all returning to defend their crowns.
But they won’t have it easy. Top-contenders nations like Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Slovakia are coming in hot, ready to challenge for the podium after their impressive runs in previous continental and worldwide competitions. The international line-up includes strong teams from all over the whitewater world– representing the full diversity and passion of the global rafting community.
The Aluminé River, set in the heart of Patagonia, is no stranger to wild competition. Its raw, cold waters and fast technical sections make it the perfect arena for Downriver, Slalom and RX, the three disciplines that will push every team to the edge.
The stage is set. The athletes are locked in. The river’s calling.
Two weeks out - and the World Rafting Championships 2025 are about to begin. Check out the Official Event Manual.
