Coaches play a central role in the development of rafting, from grassroots participation to international competition. They support athletes throughout their sporting pathway, contribute to team performance and help create a safe, fair and positive competition environment.

United Rafting recognizes coaches as an essential part of the athlete entourage and works with National Federations to support their development and their role within the international rafting community.

Through the United Rafting Platform, registered coaches can be connected with their teams and international events, supporting the management of the competition experience from registration and accreditation through to schedules, official communications and results.

Coaches can create their personal account on the official United Rafting Platform, building a profile that follows their activity across United Rafting events.

The platform provides a single point of access to the international competition system and helps connect coaches with the athletes, teams and events in which they are involved. 

Coaching Values

Coaching is about more than performance. Coaches have a direct responsibility for the environment in which athletes train and compete.

United Rafting promotes coaching based on fair play, athlete welfare, safeguarding, clean sport and respect for the rules of competition. Coaches are expected to contribute to a sporting environment in which athletes can develop and compete safely and with respect for teammates, opponents, officials and the river environment.
