Athletes’ Commission
The Athletes’ Commission is the permanent body established to ensure continuous and structured dialogue between active athletes and the governing bodies of United Rafting. It serves as the official voice of the athlete community, providing input on policies, regulations and decisions that directly affect athletes and their participation in the sport.
The Commission is composed of six members, all of whom must be active or recently retired athletes with international competition experience within the previous eight years. Its members are elected directly by eligible athletes, and the candidate receiving the highest number of votes becomes Chairperson of the Commission and serves as a member of the United Rafting General Board for the duration of the mandate.
The Athletes’ Commission also contributes to the work of the Sport Department, ensuring that the athlete perspective is represented in the development of competition structures, technical policies and other sport-related matters.
