The first stage of the Brazilian National Rafting Championships was held over the weekend in the thrilling destination of Três Rios, Brazil—a city that was named after the convergence of three rivers: the Paraíba do Sul, Piabanha, and Paraibuna. This convergence not only offers a geographical attraction but also a haven for rafters, with its turbulent rapids and scenic landscape.

In the Men's Open category, Piracicaba's Tuná Rafting won gold with 288 points, followed by Brotas' Bozo D'água with 282 points. In the Women's category, Brotas' Girls in Action dominated with 292 points, while Brotas' Pepira Girl won silver with 278 points. For the Masters category, Bozo Master of Brotas achieved a perfect score of 300 points, with Rio Abaixo 2 from Juquitiba taking silver and Rio Abaixo 1 taking bronze. Tribo Pepira of Brotas led the Youth/Mixed teams with 288 points, ahead of Pepira Boys with 282 points.

In the Over Men category, Bozo D'água of Brotas won gold with yet another flawless 300-point run, ahead of Meninos do Rio (270 points) and Pepira Team (235 points). Lastly, ASCAPI from Piracicaba emulated the elite level with a full 300-point run, highlighting their skills and precision. Overall, the championships demonstrated the vibrant rafting culture of Brazil, with teams from Brotas, Piracicaba, and Juquitiba recording spectacular performances.

With the closing of this chapter, we look forward to the next step where new champions will rise and legends will be made as Brazil sets its sights on the 2025 World Rafting Championships in Argentina.
