Alba Luz Salazar Galan
Alba Luz Salazar Galan is a health professional, entrepreneur and President of the Colombian Rafting Association, with 25 years of experience in adventure tourism.
Creating opportunities through rafting.
Her work connects community development with women’s participation and empowerment. After overcoming her own fear of rapids in 2023, Alba founded Colombia’s first competitive women’s rafting team.
She led the organisation of the 2022 Pan American Rafting Championships and brings experience in governance, sustainability and sport development.
Growing women’s rafting worldwide.
Alba’s vision centres on expanding women’s participation in rafting worldwide and supporting the sport’s ambition to reach the Olympic Games. She sees major events as an opportunity to promote tourism and river conservation, bringing attention to the places and communities that host the sport.
