The European Rafting Cup, held this past weekend on the stunning Cetina River in Croatia, saw fierce competition among few teams from across Europe. Over the course of the event, teams raced through the RX, Slalom, and Downriver.
In the men’s competition, the Croatian team Končar emerged victorious with an impressive total of 300 points. Their dominant performances across all three disciplines—RX, Slalom, and Downriver—earned them the top spot on the podium.
Following closely behind was the Cetina 1 team, who scored 270 points, taking second place. The Konitsa team from Greece finished in third with 224 points, proving their strength in the international rafting scene. Other notable teams included Cetina 2, who placed fourth with 222 points, and Zenica in fifth with 221 points. The Una Bihać team, despite their valiant efforts, secured sixth place with a total of 144 points after some challenges in the Slalom event.
In the women’s competition, Končar 1 MIX took the top spot with a commanding total of 288 points, clinching the victory after strong showings in all three events. Close behind them was the Končar 2 MIX team, who finished second with 282 points, proving the strength of the Croatian teams in the women’s category as well.
The European Rafting Cup on the Cetina River once again showcased the talent and determination of rafting teams from across Europe. With the Croatian teams dominating both the men’s and women’s categories, it was a memorable weekend of competition. As the sport continues to grow, it’s clear that future European Rafting Cups will only get more intense throughout the season, with teams striving to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the water.
