The Sport Department Director leads the coordination and development of United Rafting’s sporting activities, overseeing the implementation of the Federation’s sporting and technical programmes.
Role and responsibilities
Appointed by the General Board in accordance with the Statutes, the Director coordinates the Sport Department’s activities, working closely with the Athletes’ Commission, Officials’ Commission, Sport Technical Commission and Secretary General.
The Director coordinates work on competition rules and formats, contributes to the preparation of the international and continental competition calendar, and supports the Department’s activities concerning athlete health, safety, safeguarding, anti-doping education and the development of Technical Officials.
Operating under the authority of the General Board, the Director ensures that approved sporting policies and technical standards are put into practice through the Department’s programmes and activities.
