The second day of competition at the 2026 European Rafting Championships in Banja Luka delivered fast-paced RX action on the Vrbas River, with athletes from across Europe embracing both the intensity of racing and the unique atmosphere surrounding the event.
For many national teams, this was their very first experience competing in the RX discipline, adding an extra layer of excitement and learning to the competition. Throughout the day, teams showed a strong spirit of collaboration, sharing knowledge, helping each other on and off the water, and contributing to a positive and welcoming environment despite the pressure of championship racing.
In the Senior Mixed category, Czechia 2 secured third place behind the two AIN crews, while Germany and Czechia 1 completed the top five. Bosnia and Herzegovina 2 finished sixth in front of the home crowd, followed by Great Britain 2 and Bosnia and Herzegovina 1.
The Senior Women competition saw Czechia take third place, ahead of Great Britain 1 and France. Great Britain 2 completed the standings in sixth place after an intense series of races.
In the Senior Men category, France 1 claimed second place, while Czechia finished fourth. Croatia 1 placed fifth, followed by France 2 and Slovakia. Strong performances also came from Bulgaria, Slovenia, Great Britain, Austria, Germany, and the local Bosnian teams.
