Nepal Raft & Kayak Club Fishing “A” emerged as national champions at the Nepal Rafting Championships 2026 held on February 2nd, 2026 on the powerful waters of the Trishuli River, Chitwan. In one of the most competitive national championships in recent years, the team stood out for consistency, control and speed, mastering all the rafting disciplines to secure the overall title against 12 clubs from across Nepal.

The winning team ''Nepal Raft & Kayak Club Fishing A'' delivered a complete performance scoring 300 points in slalom, 350 in RX and 322 in the downriver race, closing the event with a commanding total of 972 points. The Silver team ''Paddle Nepal B” pushed hard throughout the championship to take second place with 899 points, while ''Rafting Adventure Nepal'' completed the podium in third with 851.5 points. Strong performances from Bhotekoshi Adventure Club further underlined the depth and growing competitiveness of the national rafting scene.

Set on one of Nepal’s most iconic rivers, the championship once again showcased the country’s unique connection to whitewater, where technical skill, teamwork and river reading make the difference. Alongside rafting, the event also featured canoe slalom races, reflecting the ongoing development of paddle sports and athlete pathways within Nepal.
Supported by the Bagmati Province Sports Development Council and delivered by the Nepal Rafting and Canoeing Association - the championship confirmed its role as a cornerstone of the national calendar. For the World Rafting Federation, events like this are essential in building strong teams, inspiring new athletes and carrying Nepal’s rich rafting culture forward onto the international stage.
